Sri Lanka set 270 to win final Test

Sri Lanka were given a target of 270 runs in a minimum of 71 overs to win the third and final Test against Pakistan in Pallekele on Thursday.


Pakistan, who resumed their second innings at 299-8, batted till 30 minutes before lunch on the fifth day before skipper Misbah-ul Haq declared at 380-8 as soon as Asad Shafiq completed his century.

The tourists are seeking a series-levelling win after Sri Lanka won the first Test in Galle by 209 runs. The second Test in Colombo was drawn.
