Samsung Galaxy S3 - screen
The rumours were correct - the screen is a whopping 4.8 inches. However, thanks to a super-slim bezel, the 22% screen boost is housed in a shell not much bigger than that of the Galaxy S2. It's an HD Super AMOLED screen, with a 1280x720 resolution, and we can certainly vouch for its brightness. When compared next to an iPhone 4 and HTC Sensation, both at full brightness, colours were much more vibrant on the S3. At 306 pixels per inch (ppi), its clarity is just under the iPhone's Retina display of 326ppi, but the difference is not noticeable to the naked eye - text is perfectly clear with no visible pixels.
