Meryl Streep was crowned Best Actress for her performance as Margeret Thatcher in The Iron Lady at the Bafta Awards. "Somebody once said the fate of the well known is to be misunderstood. The ambition of this film was to look at the life of The Iron Lady from inside out and locate something real," she said.
