When it comes to awards shows, there are those that bring the accolades (Oscars, Grammys), those that bring the teenage dreams (Teen Choice, MuchMusic) and those that bring the crazy. The MTV Video Music Awards fall into the latter category having entertained us for almost three decades with outrageous musicians and their headline-grabbing antics.

Inappropriate kissing, live snakes, artists protesting from the rafters, 50 pounds of raw meat and criminal amounts of thunder-stealing, the VMAs never fail to deliver jaw-dropping moments that permanently burn themselves into our collective consciousness.
